Tensegrity
Tensegrity is a live Math-Dance performed by the AIREDANSE onstage collective for the 2018 Santa Barbara BASSH event, and the 2018 Envision showcase at the Santa Barbara Dance Center.
The choreography is an experiment in geometry, gravity, fabric, and the trickery of higher spacial dimensions. Each color represents a different spacial dimension. When multiple dimension work together, beautiful and unintuitive things can happen.
Here is a video of the dress rehearsal. The video does not capture the awe of seeing dancers suspended magically in the air before your eyes. This piece is really meant to be seen live and not in a video.
