Only the funniest mathematics has been carefully curated for this standup comedy act. We will do a grouping of algebra jokes, a significant percentage of statistics jokes, a continuous smattering of topology/geometry jokes, and we will get arbitrarily close to some analysis jokes. We may or may not do logic jokes. Applied mathematics jokes will likely bomb.
Lew Lefton
Dr. Lew Lefton is a member of the mathematics faculty at Georgia Tech, but he’s is not your ordinary math geek. He’s also an accomplished and experienced comedian who’s done stand up and improv comedy for over 30 years. In this talk, Lefton will share some of his more mathematical jokes. WARNING: This talk is only appropriate for mathematically mature audiences! Perhaps Lefton’s unique talents are best summed up by his business card which reads: Lew Lefton – Mathematician/Comedian – “He’s funny and he can prove it”.
