Arthur Benjamin is the Smallwood Family Professor of Mathematics at Harvey Mudd College, where he has taught since 1989. He has given 3 TED talks, which have been viewed over 50 million times. His books include Secrets of Mental Math, and The Magic of Math: Solving for X and Figuring out Why, which were NY Times Bestsellers. He has received numerous awards from the American Mathematical Society, the Mathematical Association of America, and other mathematical organizations for his research, writing and teaching. Reader’s Digest calls him America’s Best Math Whiz. In 2022, he was inducted into the American Backgammon Hall of Fame.
